How to use Multi-Angle Telestration in Coach Paint

The Multi-Angle Telestration feature allows you to synchronize multiple calibrated clips so that your 3D telestrations appear seamlessly across all of them.

Watch the video below for a quick overview, and then follow the detailed step-by-step guide.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Import your clips

Import the clips where you want to use Multi-Angle Telestration.

2. Calibrate the pitch

  • Calibrate the pitch in each clip.
  • Carefully review the calibration, as accuracy here is key—the more precise the calibration, the more precise the telestration.
  • Note: If autocalibration is enabled, make sure the pitch is correctly calibrated in all clips.

3. Sync your clips

  • Right-click on one of the clips and select “Sync Clip
  • A preview window of that clip will open.

  • Only calibrated clips will be available (these will show a red mark).
  • Once selected, the new clip preview will appear stacked in the left column.

5. Sync frames across clips

  • Choose a specific action that is clearly visible across all clips (for example: a kickoff).
  • Scroll to the exact same frame in each clip (e.g., the moment the player kicks the ball).
  • For each clip, click the “Sync” button in the bottom-left corner of the preview.

  • Repeat until all clips in your group are synced.

  • Now, any 3D telestration you place on one clip will automatically appear in all synced clips.

Example: Add a 3D line or shape in one angle, and the exact same telestration will instantly show on the other synced clips.

7. Save and requeue

Don’t forget to save and requeue your clips to ensure the telestration is stored across all synced clips.
