How to update your Coach Paint license
If you haven’t used Coach Paint in a while, or if our Support team recently extended your license, you may need to update your license before you can get back to work.
Follow these quick steps to update it:
1. Launch Coach Paint
When you open Coach Paint, a pop-up window will appear (like the one below).
Click Update License.
Tip: If the pop-up doesn’t appear, you can open the License Updater app manually.
2. Check your license status
The License Updater will display your current license information, including the expiration date.
- If your license is expired, the date will appear in red with a past date.
- If it’s still valid, you’ll see a future expiration date.
3. Update the license
Click Update.
The updater will run for a few seconds and refresh your license information.
If the expiration date now shows a valid future date, your license has been successfully updated.
4. Enter your license credentials (if required)
Sometimes, you may be prompted to sign in with your license credentials.

5. Restart Coach Paint
Once your license is updated, simply restart Coach Paint, and you’re ready to go!
