How to update your Coach Paint license offline

If your computer does not have internet access, you can still update your ChyronHego license using the License Updater tool.

Follow the steps below, or watch the video for a visual guide.

1. Start ChyronHego License Updater

  • Make sure you have ChyronHego License Updater version 2.22 or higher installed.
  • Open the License Updater on the machine where the license is installed.

2. Generate an Offline Request

  • In the menu, click File and Generate Offline Request.
  • Save the generated license request file (.hlr) to a known location on your computer.

3. Upload the License Request File

  • Upload the previously saved .hlr file.

4. Generate the License Update File

  • After uploading, click the Generate button.

  • A new license update file (.hlu) will be created. Save it to your computer.

5. Apply the Offline Update

  • Reopen the ChyronHego License Updater.
  • In the menu, select File and Apply Offline Update.
  • Browse and select the .hlu file you just downloaded.

6. Confirm the Update

  • A dialog box will appear showing your updated license details.
  • Click Yes to confirm.
  • Your Coach Paint license is now updated.
