How to reset a tool in Coach Paint

Coach Paint gives you powerful customization options so you can adapt each tool to your workflow. But sometimes, too many tweaks can make a tool behave unexpectedly. If that happens, don’t worry, resetting a tool is simple.

Why Reset a Tool?

Customizing tools is great, but you may:

  • Accidentally change a key property.
  • End up with a tool that doesn’t look or act as intended.

Resetting restores the tool’s default values, so it works like new again.

Step-by-Step:

1. Remove the tool

  • Open the Tool Admin Panel.
  • Drag the tool you want to reset into the middle panel to delete it.

2. Re-add the tool

  • Select the same tool type.
  • Drag it back into your panel.

Every time you add a tool, it loads with its default settings, giving you a clean slate.

Resetting a tool is as easy as removing and re-adding it. This quick process ensures you can always return to the original version of any tool and stay focused on analyzing and creating.
